Seasonal Snippits

Our holiday's got off to a fabulous start, as we were able to be on the front row of the Las Vegas Bowl, where BYU squeaked by the UCLA Bruins for another bowl victory. We went to the game with all of Adam's old roomates and their spouses, one of which lives in Las Vegas right now. It was sweet to be with the old University Villa gang again.
We stormed the field, along with the rest of the stadium, as soon as BYU blocked the last-second field goal while time expired on the clock. We were up-front and personal with all of the ESPN camera's, but weren't fortunate enough to be captured on TV. Adam's little brother Aaron and his friend, standing just a few feet away from us, were the fortunate one's. Our stage debut also occured last month, as we were the "lucky" ones chosen to be Joseph and Mary in our ward Christmas program. Along with our sweet costumes, we both sang songs for all that were in attendance. Oh, and yes that is a real baby as Jesus.
We were able to spend some good time with Becca's family over the holiday's. We did everything from relaxing & Christmas morning Oyster Stew, to attending a Reno wedding, Utah reception, bridal showers and new births for a few of Becca's busy sisters. It was truly a Christmas break of here, there, and everywhere!
As much as our time permitted, we spent time up at the Welch cabin in Timperlakes totally relaxing. We fit in as many movies, games, chocolate, X-box, sleep, and "just hangin' out" as possible. Oh, and we had a friendly competition of bell-dinging various Christmas songs with all that were there.
It was tons of fun waking up and opening presents together on Christmas day. Becca recieved some stylin' pairs of scrubs as she starts work at the ER in just a few days.
And of course there is the classic Temple Square stroll with the lights during the holidays. That is one trip that never gets old.
