Snippits from Becca's Concerts

Talk about a concert marathon! Becca performed 6 different times in the span of 10 days, while wrapping up her final days at Utah Valley University. The concerts included Chamber & Symphonic Orchestras, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo (with Aaron on the drums), Graduation and her own Senior Recital. Bec both sang and played her bass at these functions, and -- as usual-- performed amazingly. Thanks for all who supported her, and for those that couldn't make it, here is a quick 2 minute snippit:

Graduation, Concerts and FREEDOM

(Adam)The light at the end of the tunnel arrived after 5 intense years for Becca this past weekend, as she walked with her Cap 'n Gown for graduation. It's been exhilarating for her to finally be done, especially after taking on 2 separate disciplines (Nursing & Music). Its been quite amazing to see her juggle various concerts, gigs, exams, study groups, hosptial orientations, nursing intense courses, recitals...while throwing me in the mix. Needless to say, I'm the happiest camper around now that she's finished!(Bec)Thanks to all the family who supported me through the last 5 years. I feel like I have been in school forever, but it has been well worth it. Everyone has listened to me talk about the hard tests, classes and clinicals I had to go through. Because of everyone's support I walked with my BS in music and AS in Nursing. I am excited for what lies ahead in my life, I look forward to facing life tests, instead of testing center exams.

Wicked Weekend

Bec & I did a little weekend get-a-way to sunny California last week, leaving the chilly Utah breeze behind. I had work in Palm Springs and Orange County, so Becca "jumped on board" and came along for the ride. It was perfect timing, since Becca's hospital work in the ER is on hold for another 6 weeks, and she had no music gigs scheduled (thank heavens). The highlight of ours was seeing WICKED, even while on the balcony with binoculars. Interestingly, the musical has grown on us much more since the actual show. The tunes are quite catchy, I'll admit. The display of the "true story of Oz WITCH's" was absolutely amazing, and Glinda the Good BLEW the roof off. Go see it or get the music, even if you don't like theatre.Bec managed to survive without me during the day, as she had fun chillen at the hotel, pool & shopping while I was gone to work. Becca has this amazing sense about her that, regardless of what city or location we're in, she can locate a shopping mall within minutes. Truly amazing... : )
