Adam's 30th Birthday!!!

Adam's Big Golden Birthday!! Adam turned 30 this year on April 30th and was very excited for it, well kind of. It is a big deal to turn 30 and our life is really in transition so I think it was a little hard for him. I have been on bed-rest for the last 6-7 wks and he has been picking up my slack. I had all these plans for his birthday, but because of the circumstances this was all I could do. I happened to come up on Adam's Bucket list and thought we could do some of the things on it. Here are some of the things we did for his birthday:

1) Ride in an ambulance on a call

2) Learn how to cook with a dutch oven

3) Golf on pebble beach...

4) Played tennis

5) Went to his favorite Restaurant

So I called my paramedic friend Alaina and arranged for Adam to spend some time with the guys and do a ride along the Saturday before his birthday! He had a pretty extensive tour of the place and then Olivia and I went home and he hung out for the next few hours. About 30 mins after I left they got a call from the dispatch about a 35 wk pregnant girl who was in critical condition that was in a car accident. It just so happened to be on a road I would have taken back home. One paramedic dropped his fork as he was eating and told Adam to call me and make sure I was okay. I was fine and they were off in the ambulance with sirens going. Adam got to sit in the back seat with the paramedic and said it was a lot of adrenaline pumping through his body. About halfway to the scene, their ambulance was called off, because they had another rig that was closer. I was bummed that he didn't get to make it to the scene, but relieved at the same time because I didn't want Adam to be put through something so horrific.

Well, I couldn't have him leave to go to California for golf so instead his dad took them out to a nice golf course a little closer.

A Little tennis match with him and his little bro Aaron. Lets just say the score was close but the birthday boy pulled it through, maybe next time Aars.
