I look like a Chipmunk!

We all have our health problems and I guess I am destined for teeth problems. I had a root canal done in high school that was not done properly and now this week I ended up looking like I had a golf ball in my jaw. When the new dentist tried to redo the root canal this last week there was an infection under the tooth and he ended up cutting my gum open and drilling through the bone to release the pressure... and then adding 6 stitches for the final touch. I know he said it will be completely healed in 4 months and the swelling should go down, but honestly what girl wants their Jaw huge...Some say I looked like Jay Leno or a chipmunk, but you can make up your mind for yourself. Adam was not able to witness this event this week due to work, so I thought I would take a picture of it.

Love in New York City!!!

Adam and I went to New York City over Valentine's day weekend. We had the time of our lives visiting all the sites and spending time with eachother. We thought we would try and live it up while we were there and go to everything we could. We went to the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, a broadway show, Empire state Building, Central park, Ground zero, and even checked out the jazz at the Lincoln center. Here are some snap shots of our romantic trip to New York City:

Christmas 2008 Memories...

We loved spending time with our family this year for christmas. Adam and I feel so blessed to be related to such amazing people. Here are some of the highlights of this season:

Adam has wanted a BYU quilt for quite sometime now, so I decided to take on the challenge. I got a sewing teacher, who was amazing and walked me through the whole thing. I was surprised how time consuming quilts are, but it was worth all the time when Adam's face lit up when he saw it. I took Adam's T-shirts from all of his college years (mens chorus, football, orchestra, graduation...) and sewed them together with blue and white squares. It was fun, but I am sure glad I don't have to sew for awhile.....

My Dad has a tradition of buying a gun for all of his children that graduate from college. I feel honored to receive such a nice gift, but I feel even more honored to have him as my dad. My Dad taught me how to work hard, stay determined, study well, and most of all do my best. He always gave me hope when I was down or discouraged from school. So really he should be getting a gun not me. Dad, thanks for teaching me the key to success in college. Love you!

My brother Mike got Adam a remote control airplane for christmas. He flies it out in front of our house almost every night. We also just found out that we are setting a trend in our neighborhood, multiple neighbors have bought airplanes too.

2008 year in review...

So...where do we start? Hmm...we've got Becca's graduation, a disney cruise, new family additions, football games, our sweet garden, and a Bruce Willis sighting. Let's start at Sea:We visited a lot of places in '08, but our Magical excursion in the Bahamas probably tops them all. How can you beat this: watching a Jazz playoff game on a 20' TV, while sitting IN a hottub eating Pizza?!? I know, sounds like Heaven. Yeah, well, it was pretty close! On top of the theme parks and Bahamian scooter rides, it was just a fabulous time together as a family.Becca graduated from College this year (with honors I might add) after 5 grueling years of stratteling both Music and Nursing pursuits. She now spends her time in the E.R., which she refers constantly as her "dream job".We managed to squeeze in a few football games, and even followed BYU on the road this year to Seattle, WA and Logan. Our friends Cam & Natalie even let us stay the night at their pad even though we cheered for the [mildly] different shade of blueThe family continued to shuffle (as always), as we said farewell to one missionary brother and awaited home another, welcomed a sister to the family and have enjoyed the beautiful new babiesNo drastic home improvements occured during this past year, besides the array of our vegetable garden and our SWEET new ping pong table (look out, Jackie Chan!)Overall, it has been a good year filled with great obsticles--but even greater joy. Thanks to all of you who have been such a great strength to us both.

Even you, Bruce! (we saw him in Park city)

Temple Square

Adam and I decided to go get away from life for a weekend. Salt lake was definately far enough, we had a blast. We stayed at a nice hotel and went to Temple square... They do such an amazing job with the lights every year! Oh yeah, we also splurged and finally bought a camera, our camera broke about a yr ago. Adam definately found his favorite resturaunt, it is called Skybox. Half of the resturant is filled with basketball, bowling, and tons of arcade games. Then while you eat there are theater size screens all over playing every game imaginable. They even remembered to put audio and tvs in the bathroom..haha

Christmas is on its way!

It is now December, so Adam and I decorated for CHRISTMAS! Adam did a great job with putting up lights, he is great! I was in charge of the christmas tree, and what better tree is there then a Music tree? Adam and I love our ornaments for the tree, we have small guitars, electric Basses, drums, banjos, keyboards and more.... Anyways, I love getting ready for christmas, but I hope we can all remember the True meaning of Christmas.
