Something fun is growing in Becca's Belly

We are not sure what the gender is quite yet, but are still waaaaaaaaaaaaay excited! I guess I'm able to enjoy it a little more than Bec right now, since I'm not the one heaving over a toilet every day (except for that one night, which is another story). I feel quite helpless at times just scratching her back & watching her tire, yet it completely boggles my mind that a little munchkin is sucking his/her thumb in my wife's tummy right now. Crazy! Anyways, our due date is February 8th, and we're hoping to find out if its Daddy's ball boy or Mommy's princess in a week or two, so stay tuned...

San Francisco!

I decided to jump on board with Adam and go to San Francisco for an install he had. We feel so lucky to be able to travel together for minimal expenses, because of Adam's work. We went pretty much everywhere: Golden Gate Bridge, China Town, Pier 39, and even checked out the AT&T Baseball park.

I was not feeling good when we visited the bridge and I think I left a little bit of myself all over san fransisco, a little present to that city from my baby and I...

Will Clark was Adam's favorite player growing up, his Dad took him to a game there in San Fransico and he has been a fan ever since. I love this picture, because Adam was so excited to see the jersey, it is funny how the little kid comes out in us every once in a while.

My friend told us about this amazing bakery called Tartine Bakery... YUMMY!! Adam and I loved it, I just wish I could have held down the food a little longer.

Ghirardelli Square is the Bomb! I know this was Adam's favorite place, whether it was the real chocolate machine or the giant brownie at the end that made up his mind, but either way we will definately be back again.

I just thought this picture was funny....What facial expression were we trying to pull off???

Pier 39 was fun but stinky!! There were at least 100 sea lions on the docks that were just chillin, sleeping, or entertaining us with their weird vocals.

China town was a must in San Fran. We tried this new chinese resturant and we were very impressed..

Welcome little Cannon!

My Little new nephew came with a grand entrance on the 4th of July. Little Cannon is a little angel and has the most perfect features. My brother, Russ and Sister inlaw, Trish are amazing parents already. Congrats guys and Cannon welcome to the family... Lots of Love-Aunty Becca

MS Bike RIDE!

This year we had the opportunity to ride in a bike race for a great cause. Our family rode in honor of our sister Liz, and my close friend Karri -- both of whom were recently diagnosed with MS. We wanted to get involved and show them that we care and are willing help out. My sis-in-law Vicki let us know about this opportunity, and the fundraising began. "Team Lizzie" raised more than $2,000 and it all went to research for MS. For two days in Logan, racers from all over came together for one great purpose. Our team opted to do the 40 mile bike ride, and even though it took us around 3.5 hour to finish, it was worth knowing that we were able to do something for people we love.

Adam and Nate had so much fun trying to dunk our team captian, Vicki! Nate dunked her at least 3 times and Adam dunked her twice.

Vicki was such a good sport about being dunked, Nice Job Vic!

My friend Kristin came and joined the team. She was way fun to have on the ride and gave me a lot of encouragment at the end, when I started to poop out.

After the race was over, we were treated with free foot massages. I'm not sure who that brave soul was who touched my gross feet, but man did it feel good!

Liz is the most amazing person I know. She is an outstanding mother to 2 little kids and is so good to her husband as well. Liz, we love you and we are definately planning on doing this event every year!

Thanks to all those who helped support this great cause! We will find a cure for MS, but until then we have heroes like Liz and Karri, who make each of us want to be a better person everyday. Love you Both!

Updates on life...

TRIATHLON!!!

Adam and his friend Jason trained for 3 months together and did the salem triathlon. I am so proud of Adam, he is one amazing and determined person. When most of us were sleeping at wee hours of the morning, Jason and Adam kicked their butts in gear to be in enough shape to Swim-1/2 m, Bike-15 m, and Run-3.5 m.

Adam was exhausted when he was done, but was also pleased with his performance. He listened to the "Rocky" soundtrack as he ran through the finish line.

I was working out regularly, but definately was not trained for the whole thing. My sister Mary was signed up to do the whole triathlon, but injured her knee when training. We decided to make it a "JACS sister" team and do the race together. We were sad Liz could not be there, but we devoted that race to her. Mary swam, I biked and Amy Ran for the victory. Our times were not something to brag about, but man was it fun to be out there trying something new as sisters. I am determined to do the whole triathlon next year, you wait and see.:)

OHHHHH!! Doesn't this team look scary...

House Projects!

Since Adam and I bought our house 2 years ago we have been constantly making improvements on it. I am amazed with Adam because he starts some random project that he has never done and these projects always turn out superb! Owning a house is so much fun, but with that comes a lot of work... here are some pictures of what Adam and I have been working on lately:

Adam finished all of the dry wall in the garage and then we primed and painted it... man I did not think it would be so tiring...but it turned out amazing thanks to Adam's determination!

I love gardening and love the produce from it.. This year my goal is to jar salsa, tomatoes, and spaghetti sauce. Every year I do freezer jam, but I have been wanting to make salsa forever! I planted this year: 8 tomato plants, 2 cucumbers, 3 squash, 2 zucchini, and 2 snap peas. I am crossing my fingers that everything turns out!

Adam made an amazing irrigation system for the garden. He took PVC pipe and drilled holes in it, and all I have to do it turn the hose on for 5 mins everyday and walla, dinner is served!

Last but not least we worked on the flower beds in the front yard. Here are some before pictures:

And After...

Happy Mother's Day!

As most of you know, every year I have a spa at my house to thank all the women in my life who have set such great examples to me. This is not just for the mothers, but all women who have helped me become who I am today. I love being a nurse, but I also love giving massages. I think motherhood is the most important work we can do here on earth. I am blessed with three moms and all of them have shown me how to be better in their own special way. Where some women have one example to follow I have multiple. I also have so many friends and family who have shown me how to become a wonderful mom someday. I wanted one day where those people who give so unselfishly could relax and get pampered themselves.

I really enjoy spas and love how they help rejuvinate you and make you feel more whole. You really feel like a new person after getting a massage.

My sister Liz has been an amazing example to me. She is always so positive about life despite trials she goes through. She is a wonderful mother of two cute little kids and she is always willing to give of herself in anyway possible to them and others. I love having her as a sister and look up to her so much. Thanks for always being there, love you liz!

Relaxation and pamper-ization!

Visualization Room....

I am so glad my mom (#2) could come, because she needed this relaxation in her life. She is an amazing women and always keeps herself busy with wonderful things. She is a teacher by profession, but most of all she is a wonderful mom to all of us kids. love you mom!

At this year’s spa, I invited lots of women to loosen up to a full body massage, unwind in the relaxation room, and float & chillax in the DEstressful visualization room. I think I gave a total of 20 massages and those people truly deserved it! Thanks again to all those women who devote their lives to helping others, you truly inspire me to be better. Love you all!
