Triathlon!!!

For the last couple of years I have cheering Adam on in doing different races, but this time Adam was on the side line cheering me on. I have done parts of triathlons before, but this year I wanted to do a full triathlon.  This was a big goal, because my knees have been really hurting lately.  I went to the doctor and he gave me a cortisone shot in the knee and sent me to the physical therapist.  They did a full eval on my running and bio-mechanics and went to work.  Starting this whole process I couldn't run even 1/2 a mile without extreme pain, but by the end I ran a 5K with minimal problems.  This triathlon however was different in the fact that at least half of the run portion of it my knees felt like knifes were going through them.  It was so painful, but I just kept going and I had a goal in mind which was to finish less then 1 hr 45 mins and I acheived it by 13 secs, coming in at 1 hr 44 mins.  It felt so good to cross that finish line knowing I gave it my all.  Adam told me it was a race against yourself, meaning only you know if you pushed yourself the entire way.  All that matters is I finished and I gave it all I had.

SWIM
I was lucky enough to do the race with my little sister Amy.  She rocked and it was fun to see her along the path, we would definitely give a shout out to help each other keep going.

Transitioning: From run to swim!

CHEERING SQUAD

I definitely couldn't have finished or even tried to train for this race without Adam.  He pushed me the whole way and I am lucky to have such a wonderful supportive husband.  Olivia, cheered me on as well and I hope this will show her she can do anything she puts her mind to doing.

RUN

Rounding the corner for the first part of the run section.

Last portion of the running part, I really pushed myself to the finish line!!

LIVY update!!!

JULY FUN:
It is fun to have a little 1 yr 5 m. (17 months) munchkin running around in our house.  She is definitely a little active one and loves to express her feelings (as you can tell below).  She is such a joy and I would literally do anything for her!

HER BESTEST FRIEND:
Her best friend in the whole wide world is Cannon.  She calls his name daily and just loves to be around him.  She wants to be just like him and tries to copy everything he does.  She thinks everything Cannon does is funny and she is constantly giggling at him as he is running around trying to entertain her.  We have loved being so close to Russ/Trisha/Cannon and are excited for more fun times ahead:

My sister KK stopped by and Livy wanted to snuggle by my nephew, Karver.  She loves "Babies" and she tries to take care of them and is usually pretty soft and gentle with them.  It is amazing that she has had such a good motherly instinct at such a young age.

Getting ready for bed and we put both feet in one pant leg,
we are sometimes so silly together:)

"Oh Hi mom.... Did I ever tell you Toilet paper is so much fun?

It feels so soft and it is perfect to make a mess with...

It comes off of the roll so easily...

And look how pretty it makes the room!!!!:)

4th of July

4TH OF JULY!!!!!
Everyone loves the 4th of July and what it stands for.  There is no one else that is more patriotic than Adam.  Can you tell with what he is wearing???  I don't know how he ran a race in those, but oh well.  This was my first 5K and I know that sounds lame, but I had to train for it and it actually was really easy:)
We started off the day with the 5K, Amy and I ran together and Adam was left with Livy in the stroller.  We wanted to try and get a good time, because the triathlon is right around the corner.

Tough lookin Jacobson Girls!!!

Olivia loved the 4th of July this year and we are excited for the years to come.  We want to keep it a tradition to run the freedom 5K every year with our family and also have a family BBQ.  I am personally so grateful for all the Men and Women who have fought and died for Our Country.  I feel so lucky to live in a place where I can have freedom to live the life I want to!
